Abstract
The tasks for Buhari’s Second Term in office as the Federal Republic of of Nigeria President has not yet been sort out. Therefore, this paper seek to tasks Buhari’s Second Term and his 9th Assembly on the areas mostly affecting the nation such as, the Socio-economic, Political, Cultural, Religious and Educational sector.
INTRODUCTION
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Abuja assured Nigerians that his administration will in the next four years pursue inclusive and transparent policies that will guarantee security and economic safety of every citizen. The president, who received a delegation of the Nigerian Union of Journalists led by Chris Isiguzo at the State House, said: “As I look to the next four years, I will remain committed to a safe and secure nation; creating an inclusive and diversified economy; and a governance system that is free of corrupt practices. In all these areas, we will remain transparent in implementing our policies.’’
The 2019 presidential election has been won and lost. There are reservations, quite all right, over its outcome. However, there is a winner, who has be inaugurated in office on May 29. The government should make efforts to ensure that, as the presidential election has been won, peace should also be won. If one wins a war, one should also win the peace. Just like in 2015, the last elections divided the country. There are people who strongly believe that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a better than the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). There are others who think that APC is by far better.
There are those who believe that PDP’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, won the election and would have been a better President. There are also those who think that President Buhari won and is a better leader for the country. Tempers did rise before and after the elections. Accusations and counter-accusations were traded and still being hurled. Those who support either President Buhari or Atiku stick to their guns.
The task before the government, therefore, is to provide leadership by ensuring that reconciliation takes place, hence with other major sectors to be put in place.
In the letter, Mr Buhari proclaimed that the 9th Senate and House of Representatives should hold their first sessions on June 11.
“where as it is provided in section 64(3) of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) that the person elected as president shall have the power to issue a proclamation for the holding of the first session of the national assembly immediately after his being sworn-in.
“Now, therefore, I, Muhammadu Buhari, President Commander-ln-chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria in exercise of the powers bestowed upon me by section 64(3) aforesaid and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf. Hereby proclaim that the first session of the ninth (9th) national assembly shall hold at 10:00 am on Tuesday 11th June, 2019. In the national assembly Abuja,” the letter reads.

The Socio-Economic Tasks
“The Nigeria economy just recovered from recession. The challenge of this economy has been credit to the private sector.” It is investment that drives economic growth. It is also investment that drives jobs growth. We have limited investment, which is one of the tasks for President Mohammadu Buhari’s Second Term with His 9th Assembly should make sure it is accomplished.
Nigeria has recorded very low foreign direct investment over the past four years and the exit of investment continues. It’s in the news that Accenture, an international consulting firm, has left Nigeria. So, you see that the country continues to bleed.
“That definitely points in the direction of more troubles ahead. It’s an indication that the economy is not favourable to investment, especially FDIs, and it is that FDI that we need in order to kick-start this economy, in order to create jobs.
“The other day, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) reduced interest rate by about 50 basis points. So, we now have 13.5 percent, from 14 percent. The question that some of us are asking is, why has it taken them almost three years to do that?”
“That has undermined every macroeconomic and fiscal policies that they have claimed to pursue. On the one hand, they say they are reflating the economy using many sectoral interventions; pushing money to certain sectors, but at the same time, they kept rates very high; President Mohammadu Buhari’s Second Term with His 9th Assembly should provide immediate solution to this issue in other to forward match the socio-economic status of the nation.

There is link between economy and security. Given the president’s poor showing on the economic front, which has led to increased poverty, the general atmosphere of insecurity is explainable. Security challenges are often offshoots of poverty and lack of opportunities. Poverty is growing. In this regard, it is important to point out that in a democracy, periodic, credible and peaceful government is the necessary gateways to improved governance and people-oriented development. “It is on record that despite the marked improvement on the regularity and number of democratic nations, election-related violence has continued to be experienced in many African nations, often to the detriment of peaceful co-existence, economic growth and sustainable development.

Cultural and Religious Tasks
In the specific case of countries of Lake Chad Basin facing “grave security challenges and vicious insurgency arising from Boko Haram terrorism and insurgency,” members agreed to increase humanitarian aid. To this end, the regional humanitarian office of the OIC in Niamey, Niger Republic will be upgraded to a Regional Representative Mission to “mobilized political commitment and undertake development and humanitarian activities.”
President Buhari equally got reassuring support for recharging of Chad Basin, a goal he has consistently promoted on the global stage. The Lake had shrunk to 10 per cent of its size due to effects of climate change, with dire economic consequences for many. The OIC members assured that they will support the ongoing project of recharging the lake, in view of the socioeconomic benefits to neighbouring countries.

“We will continue to strive for peaceful co-existence among all Nigerians irrespective of their religious beliefs. “In the area of allocation of political offices, our focus will be on merit and national spread such that every part of Nigeria will have a sense of belonging. We remain resolute in the fight against terrorism and insurgency, and efforts to bring back all those in captivity and other victims of kidnappings will be intensified,” Buhari said.
Commending the important roles religious bodies have played in the last four years of the administration, the President pledged to continue supporting several programmes anchored by the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), geared towards peace, tolerance, unity and harmony in our country.

The president made the call at the Regional Conference for African Traditional and Religious Leaders on Keeping Girls in School held at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on Monday.
He said that leaders should advise and assist their respective governments on strategies for combating the challenges which constituted barriers to the continent’s stability.
“I appeal to Your Majesties to bring your influence to bear and help your governments in combating the modern day challenges we face. Globalisation in the latter part of the 20th Century and in the 21st Century has brought in its wake, huge destructive problems such as insurgency, human and drug trafficking, cyber-crimes and disruptive social media.”
“May I therefore remind Your Majesties of the important role you play; Your role is to advise and assist your governments in combating these challenges which present barriers to our continent’s stability and efforts to catch up with the rest of the world,’’ he said.
The president, who described traditional leaders as “original guardians of history, security, traditions, customs and culture’’, said they had not lost their dignity or esteem in spite of their change from “absolute monarchs to traditional leaders’’.
On educating the girl-child, Buhari called on African governments to ensure that young African girls completed a minimum of 12 years of education with all its benefits for the continent.

President Mohammadu Buhari with His 9th Assembly should enforce on providing all the necessary need to Educational Agencies in other to function very well. While the typical tasks of every agency of education are to implement administrative tasks and goals and tasks which focus on providing training for the masses, each agency performs many functions.
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed commitment to sustaining meaningful investments in the education sector.
Buhari gave the assurance at the 35th to 37th combined convocation of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, on Saturday.
The President has also urged graduates across the country to key into national building initiatives.
He urged managements of universities to evolve measures toward improving the welfare of their staff and students.
The President, who was represented by the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwuka, described the strike by staff as detrimental to academic and manpower development in the country.
He urged the unions to be considerate as his government was not unaware of their problems and would not leave any stones unturned in addressing them.
The president congratulated the graduates and enjoined them to be good ambassadors of the institution and the country.
He also used the opportunity of the occasion to thank Nigerians for renewing his mandate and giving his party comfortable majority in the National Assembly, assuring the audience that he would continue with the good works started by his government and even improve on them.
The event was attended by Governors of Sokoto and Kebbi states, Aminu Tambuwal and Abubakar Bagudu, Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, among others.
CONCLUSION
The socio-economic status of nation has been intimidated by so many factors which we believe Mahammadu Buhari’s second term and his 9th assembly has their plan at hand to eradicate such factors, consequently good governance for Mahammadu Buhari’s on second term and his 9th assembly, if highly recommended if the political standard of this nation is to be regarded as the one of the best.
Cultural and religious tasks for the president is not to be overemphasis as its well being can contributes a lot to the country positively.
Lastly, education is said to be the backbone of the nation, therefore the tasks to make this sector stable and of standard a priority is not to be taken lightly.
